Our three public transfer sites are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise noted. You can dispose of trash, brush, metal, construction debris, and bulky items. Depots are available for all types of recyclable items.
Wridge Creek- Off HWY 101 on the east side, nine miles north of Brookings (exactly two miles north of the Thomas Creek Bridge) and 15 miles south of Gold Beach. Between Natural Bridges and Arches Rock viewpoints. Look for Wilderness Road street sign and turn east. It is a short jog into our facility.
Nesika Beach- Off HWY 101, six miles north of the Gold Beach Bridge, turn east on Edson Creek Rd (at the flashing yellow traffic light). Our site is one-half mile on the south side just past Bonneville Power sub-station.
Port Orford- Off Hwy 101, just north of Port Orford, turn west on Paradise Point Rd, then right on Arizona St. Our site is at the end of the street. This location is open Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Our yard- 17498 Carpenterville Rd in Brookings is open for Recycle Only. Our hours at this location are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
TRANSFER SITE DEPOTS
All of our Transfer Depots accept all types of recycling items. There is no charge for the following items
Plastics #1 and #2 only; newsprint; glass bottles and jars; corrugated cardboard, pressboard, paper egg cartons, and brown paper bags; aluminum and metal cans, office paper.
We also accept these items—*fees apply
- Electronic waste—no charge for televisions; computers, monitors, laptops, keyboards, mice, and printers.
- *Electronic waste—fees apply—copiers, DVD/VCR players, cell phones, stereos and components.
- Car batteries
- *Motor oil (no charge at the Carpenterville site)
- Metal- Item must be all or nearly all metal.
