Fall Yard Waste Event

Prepare for FREE yard waste disposal this Fall! Bundle your organic waste in four-foot lengths or place in containers that can be dumped and left at curbside (marked YARDWASTE) such as marked extra cans, landscape containers, boxes, etc. Brookings/Harbor curbside, Sept 30th - Oct 4th - on your garbage day; Gold Beach curbside, Wednesday, Oct 16th; and Port Orford curbside, Thursday, Oct 17th. Or, take it loose, bundled, or paper bagged to the Brookings Transfer Site, Monday thru Saturday, Oct 7th-12th, 8am-5pm (Sat. 10am-5pm), Nesika Beach Transfer-Site Tuesday through Saturday, Oct 8th - 12th, from 10am-5pm or Port Orford Transfer-Site Tuesday through Saturday, Oct. 8th-12th, from 10am-4pm. Paper landscape bags can be purchased from your local stores where garden supplies are sold. Yard waste in PLASTIC BAGS CANNOT be accepted.

HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD WASTE EVENT AUGUST 2024

Prepare for FREE yard waste disposal this Spring! Bundle your organic waste in four-foot lengths or place in PAPER landscape bags or containers that can be dumped and left at curbside (marked YARDWASTE) such as marked extra cans, landscape containers, boxes, etc. Brookings/Harbor curbside, April 29-May 3rd - on your garbage day; Gold Beach curbside, Wednesday, May 15th; and Port Orford curbside, Thursday, May 16th. Or, take it loose, bundled, or paper bagged to the Brookings Transfer Site, Monday thru Saturday, May 6th - May 11th, 8am-5pm (Saturday 10am-5pm) or Port Orford Transfer-Site Tuesday through Saturday, May 7th - 11th, from 10am-4pm. Paper landscape bags can be purchased from your local stores where garden supplies are sold. Yard waste in PLASTIC BAGS WILL NOT be accepted.
